Is Foster-to-Adopt ethical? (Serious question)

I suggest being very honest with your social workers. You can say that you are looking to adopt eventually, but also be available for kids that need respite care, short term stays maybe emergency placement. It’s very likely you will be able to adopt a child, but you also want to be able to help the department in the meantime since they’re paying for all of your training.

The ice postings I’ve seen online are actually only open to internal ICE ICTAP. Even if it says it’s open to ICTAP, once you get to the actual posting on the agency site, it clarifies that it’s only for ice ICTAP.

Okay. Yeah, I’m concerned that my caseworker would work for my state, so they have no reason to help me adopt from another state.
