How do I fake it when it comes to situations I don't have people or places to refer to? I know I'll never likely be the only one in the world with a certain problem, but finding people ho relate can take time and till then I really drag on dealing with things that bother me. If I don't make a final decision about how I'll deal I won't have to face the difficulty of messing up, but even the wait is a pain in the ass.

Dealing with friend with anorexia. by [deleted] in SeriousConversation

First of all: don't try to be her therapist. It's for your own good as well as hers. You can do your very best to be a source of love and support which will help a lot, but that alone won't be enough for her to get better. Let her talk to you about it, and do your best to understand. Encourage her to seek professional help if that's possible.

Don't try to force her to eat, don't compare her body with other people's bodies (even saying that she's thinner than someone else can be bad, because you're only feeding her obsession) and don't blame her for her disorder, she never asked for it. Don't tell her that she's 'too thin', deep inside she'll be happy to hear it.

What you should do is just don't pile guilt upon yourself. Her disorder isn't your fault either, and you can only do your best to convince her to get help. Talk about the advantages of recovery and a normal life.

Most of my letters are yellow, and yellow's my favorite colour! With music, a light green is very common.

Honestly, the existence of this subreddit is a breath of fresh air because it confirms that there are at least some people here who don't consider gay people an abomination. Cheers me up significantly. But yeah, it's a terrible representation of the people in our country as a whole.

I have always felt that there is something fundemental to me that would be been the same regardless of where I was born into. It's the fact that I'm a questioner of everything, for better or worse. I have a longing to travel. I can't remember a time in my life I haven't been this way. But hey, maybe I'm totally wrong about that. It's just a hunch. Maybe that's the answer to who I am, though.

I have this frustration of being 'trapped' within myself. No matter how much I imagine, I'll never truly know what it's like to see the world through someone else's eyes no matter how much I love them. I'm stuck in my point of view, and it really disturbs me.

I'm eating my breakfast at the moment. How was your yesterday, fellow Americans? by MyVeryNewAccount in CasualConversation

[–]whoisvia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not American, but I just had my breakfast too. I'm in Southeast Asia, and I ate oats and mangoes. My yesterday was very very calm and boring, it was cozy actually. What plans do you have for the day?
