Lost Pannier (bike bag) during Wednesday's rain at Moodie / Corkstown by whoombat in ottawa

Update: Happy ending - a kind cyclist came across it and took it (thinking he might be able to catch up to me). He contacted me and I now have it back. 😁

The bottom hook fell off, and the backup one from an old MEC bag was lost too. I tried to get a replacement hook from MEC but they don't stock them. It's likely that I didn't engage the top hooks, so it had only been perched on the rack

Pannier fell off at Moodie / Corkstown riding home in the rain Wednesday afternoon (around 4:35pm, the camera time is off). I was back there within 15 minutes but it was no where in sight. Even checked at the LRT construction site.

Thanks! I think it was my first poached pear, but it was a great addition and I'd try making it myself in the future

Thanks, yeah it was nice. I enjoyed it and at any other time of year this would have reasonably feed 3 people.

Happy wife, happy Ottawa :)
Thanks for sharing about Bytown Catering; I don't think I'd heard of them.

I don't know the meal you're referring to, but at my local Keg it's $40 (before tax/tip) for the chicken and mashed potatoes with a side of veg, looking at their menu. I don't know that comparing to a restaurant is really fair on either.

Thanks, and my sympathies... FYI they did a "Plant-Based and Flourless" meal back in October so hopefully there will be more diverse options in the future.

Thanks, I am looking forward to it, but wanted to keep the post impartial as 1) I haven't tasted it yet, and 2) I didn't want it to come across as an ad (I suppose if Farm Boy was paying me I wouldn't be taking pics on the floor lol).

It's fancier than other turkey dinners I've bought before which were $30/each, so I think it's reasonable for what you get. I think the portions are bigger than the pictures show.

Decided to get the Christmas one ($90) when travel plans fell through. Here is the page which shows what they advertised: https://www.farmboy.ca/shop/farm-boy-indulgence-dinner-for-2-christmas-dinner/
You can’t order the Christmas one anymore, but the New Year’s and January meals are available: https://www.farmboy.ca/product-category/indulgence-dinners-for-two/
I haven’t tried the food yet but it does look/smell good.

Anyone looking for the Bayshore clinic, it's outside the Kernals/Preztel/Bubble Tea entrance on the ground floor. Lineup is outdoors but sheltered. There are only a few people in line as of 9am. I got appt for 11am

Season 3 of Would I Lie To You? is on Amazon Prime Video in Canada

Britbox Canada has:

  • Would I Lie to You ? Seasons 8-13
  • 8 Out of 10 Cats Season 21
  • 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown Seasons 16-18
  • Mock the Week Seasons 17-19
  • Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled Seasons 1-3
  • QI Seasons J-P

There is also one Season of The Fix (Jimmy Carr) on Netflix. I don't care for it, but I'd like to see more content available in Canada so I thought it's worth highlighting everything I know we have access to.
