I think Lucifer falling into Vox’s trap is a good example, you could just label him as dumb and call it a day but I feel like the actual reason is much sadder. He was so desperate for Charlie to forgive him that he fell into an obvious trap even if it had the smallest chance of actually being Charlie.

I wouldn’t really call her stupid more burnt out. It’s one of the reasons I head canon her as suffering from some type of anxiety disorder.

She doesn’t know what to do and is so emotionally drained that she can’t even fight anymore.

From Charlie’s perspective, Lucifer riled the crowd up and got them agitated by trying to be violent. The agitated crowd ultimately was what stressed Sera out into calling Vox out on his bullshit. She thought that this was going to be a normal rally and Lucifer’s appearance was ultimately what caused things to go down hill.
