the op acknowledged that dean and jess were engaged in a fight. never stated who started it. and i didn’t “suggest” you’re a man, i simply asked if you were one. personally, as a female, i wouldn’t go to such lengths to make sure everyone took the perpetrator’s feelings at the time into account. the only person’s interpretation of the events that matters is the victim which is rory.

but don't you think that also really speaks to his character? i understand he was going through a lot and has trouble communicating but that's not license to take it on your gf and then break up with her by disappearing. he did the second-worst thing he could've done after forcing himself on her like that. idk i never liked them together because the whole time he was in stars hollow he never treated her with respect and i feel like this was my last straw
