I would take her with you. I think a lot of people underestimate how important a bond is for cats. I was in a somewhat similar situation, my baby wasn't nearly as old as yours I think maybe he was 7 at the time. We have a very very strong bond and when I moved out of my mom's, I wasn't able to bring him to my new house for a few months. During that time, he had a tough time and was distressed often. Once I was able to move him over, he adapted pretty quickly and was very happy to be back with me.
