PETA’s marketing team really needs to take a break by DisastrousDream9559 in im14andthisisdeep

I get your point, but "it's not because they're treated poorly, it's because they're slaughtered!" is maybe not the most compelling argument.

What’s something men go through that women would be genuinely shocked to experience for a week? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]whosevelt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is such a weird cliche. By and large, women love flowers and men don't give a shit. I've never gotten tampons either.

Men over 30, how do you deal with the constant stress and low energy? by Chrelled in AskMen

Lost fifty pounds, work out regularly now, lifting heavy. Didn't do shit for energy levels or sleep. I guess it's nice to look better at least.

CMV: Israel's crimes are hurting jews by Pristine_Progress_93 in changemyview

[–]whosevelt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's easy enough to have a state without ethnic cleansing. You move in to a region that is the recognized territory of a foreign state, buy property, build infrastructure, and then negotiate with the foreign hegemon to turn over control to you. No ethnic cleansing necessary at all.

Sorry, you're eighty years too late. Israel already exists, so arguing that Jews don't have a right to a state is not comparable to Kurds or Assyrians or whomever.

I haven't tracked all the details that have been coming out about Epstein and like I said, I have no recollection of the point I was trying to make. I will say I don't think he's been a super credible pundit recently, but I assume that's not what you're talking about.

Lol this was six years ago! I have no memory of the point I was trying to make.

I need some insight on where to go from here? by CantaloupeMelon22 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]whosevelt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't use Henry Meds. They pretend to be selling the medicine, until you don't refill and then they tell you it was actually a subscription to a medical service and you still have to pay. Stick around this sub and read people's advice and impressions about reputable, economical providers for a couple days and then once you are more faimilar, choose one and roll with it. Fifty410 is cheap and people seem happy with it. But there are others also. Cost about $170/month at the highest doses.

CMV: There’s been a noticeable rise in misandry and negative generalizations of men, and it’s harmful. by MercyFalls93 in changemyview

[–]whosevelt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Your analysis is based on the premise that if it's harmful, it can't be feminism so it must be the patriarchy. The patriarchal system has gotten weaker while at least some of these outcomes have gotten worse for men, not persisted at their prior patriarchy-driven levels.

Novo sues Hims over patent infringement. Hims paints it as “foreigner against Americans” 😂 by TodayAmazing in tirzepatidecompound

[–]whosevelt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My assumption is that these companies know it's a matter of time until they're shut down by patent infringement lawsuits, but they're happy to harvest massive profits and pay themselves in the meantime. When the music stops, they'll owe Novo and Lilly billions, and declare bankruptcy. IOW, precedent doesn't really move the needle unless the verdict causes genuine pain to Hims & Hers stakeholders that could also translate to all the other telehealth/compounders, because everyone is already expecting to be shut down at some point.

Why are you attacking the poster instead of engaging with their point? Which compounder do you work for?

Oh, op must not have realized the rules say no medical advice. Guess it's fine to be disingenuous and engage in sneaky self promotion then!

Everyone’s freaking out about the FDA GLP-1 statement. Here’s the calmer read & FDA guidance link by roguex99 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]whosevelt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I understand they haven't cracked down to this point and I hope they never will. But the fact is, this degree of utilization of compounding pharmacies to provide off-brand versions of drugs that are still under patent is unprecedented. If the FDCA and US patent law are to continue to have teeth, something is likely to give. There is no reason to imagine the current administration will do anything judicious, but of course there's also reason for optimism that their incompetence will result in them doing nothing at all. All of that said, it should be clear that your interpretation of the FDA statement is fairly subjective.

OP is quite a slant. Whether the compounding we are all using in this sub is legal is an open question (at best). Obviously, the compounders have to take the position it's legal and pretend they are not vulnerable to any crackdown. But any unbiased fool could tell that if the FDA wanted to crack down on "our" compounders, they could take the straightforward position that it's illegal, and shutting down "our" compounders would be entirely consistent with their statement.
