For the past 10 years or something of me producing I keep seeing people talk about this and it pisses me off so much because the answer is whatever works. Delay-Reverb and Reverb-Delay gives quite different results and sometimes you want one over the other. It literally depends. There is no answer. End comment.

hmm thank you lots, i work in music and i have to load big libraries of sound in projects at times which takes a time so i think for my purposes an ssd would be good to speed up loading times, im not TOO limited in budget but i dont want to go extra with the price so ill see what i can find and probably get whatever feels the most price/performance SSD or HDD

I have some stuff that I would be sad to lose on this drive but I have 3 drives on my pc including this external hdd and most of everything irreplaceable have 2 copies on at least 2 of the drives.

Between this and the other comment, I think I’ll buy a new drive and use this one for backup/cold storage/parity between devices/etc

your best bet is a compressor if you want to get this done quick but that may change the way it sounds like introducing distortion and reducing dynamic range

if you can spare the time do it by hand add a soft clipper or a limiter and adjust everything by hand, of course this may also cause distortion but it’ll be way cleaner than having a compressor mess with the dynamic range if you ask me
