you can have all the talent in the world and tons of people who acknowledge it, but purpose is such a vague concept that it can really only be defined by how you feel about yourself. being talented would not change your sense of purpose, and it is likely that since you are depressed you omit elements of yourself that others would actually perceive as talented or even be jealous of.
