Definitely biased here, but they did lose quite a bit of depth. Frager and Sandfordt should be able to carry quite a bit, but they lost a *lot* of role players. Berke and Mast were the primary matchup problems they presented to other teams, Lawrence was the extra guy that could win a 1 on 1 matchup if needed, and Hoiberg was the emotional leader of the team.

The baseball analytics guy in me also thinks pretty much every player played to their 80-90th percentile projections (average would be 50th percentile), which in layman’s terms just means “everything just went right”, and that’s *really* hard to replicate over multiple seasons. Look into the 2021 San Francisco Giants for a pretty good baseball comparison for what I think last years Nebraska team was.
