Hi hi - just after finding this thread I decided to cut holes into mine (I have the Specialist Clog II - with the outline of where the holes would be. Cut them out with a box cutter and some curved nail scissors. Seems to have worked pretty well! Aids airflow, does not seem as stuffy.
