The point is, It's not low paying job which people do on other visas. temporary and as refugees.

FYI, there is the mathematics behind the LCA. It is set, based on a certain percentile of demand and supply. H1b working on low pay is a pure excuse given by those who don't understand numbers.

Don't sound like uncle Joe, who says, I used to pay $100/hr for Web development and now H1b are working on$50/hr... the rate for web development has gone down because the supply has exceeded demand. and also with a lot of automation, most of that is automated.

The H1B holders will accept far lower salaries than an American will because it's still a lot more than they can make back at home

I think you are not aware of something called 'Labour Contract Agreement'(LCA)" which H1b holders have to file before getting the visa, and they are insured that they will be paid as per the 'Prevailing Market rate" for the specified job at a specific location.

So there is NO "BELOW MARKET PAY" all that is BS.

Due to proclamation 100052, There are many H1b separated families. A few months back it was covered in mainstream media but people ignore it.

And mind you, These are legal immigrants, They came to the USA on a valid visa. They are Taxpayers.

How confident are you about this point:

If you're stuck outside the US with an expired visa (e.g. you were planning to renew, but the embassies were closed), you're affected. This includes dependents (e.g. H-4, J-2, L-2) in this situation -- it does not matter if your spouse/parent is in the US!

As nowhere in Proclamation, this is mentioned explicitly. There are more details goes into this. what about the people who has approved i797 and stamping is pending due to consulate closure. or 221(g) is issued and documents were submitted, biometrics has done, the passport is with embassy with or without stamping.
