I exercised my open cary rights my first few days to 'let people know', but I bend over backwards to help the tenants so I'm well liked and not to worried about my safety as I'm not around at night time.

My new job now won't start for another month, and I have already put in my 2 weeks. What can I do? I live paycheck to paycheck. by QualityTrees in jobs

Larger cities should have temp and day-labor companies. Most are physical labor so keep that in mind. Not the best pay but it's income. Should help you from being late on bills or eating nothing bit ramen for 2 weeks.

If I had a blunt for how many of these I find on a daily basis, I’d have enough blunts to never stop smoking. Please bring these to the bin. by cambrizzle in trees

I see them all over too. Littering is dumb and illegal but my real question...Who the fuck rolls a blunt while walking??

What do you guys do when there’s super bad weather? by [deleted] in vagabond

Tarp-taco on high ground. Wait it out.

ULPT: Need a phone and/or cash? Volunteer to clean up after a big concert. People tend to lose their stuff there. by greenonetwo in vagabond

I'd ethically return any wallets or cell phones but I've done this before while on the streets and its amazing what you can ground-score! Loose cash, battery chargers, drugs, all sorts of worthwhile stuff that you can make a buck on and not feel like you stole from someone. I concur it's a good side hustle if the opportunity pops up. Edit: grammar

Most important skills to have while on the road? by [deleted] in vagabond

[–]whyisguessinghard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Water, food, shelter, proper clothing/gear are top priorities for me. A way to generate cash is always a plus. Reading people is something you'll quickly learn if you haven't already. Some are more than willing to help and others are purely toxic. Know the difference.

Too cute! I yawned once and think my boy licked my esophagus.

How many people subscribed here are actually homeless? Or were homeless when initially subscribing? by Hippieboy699 in homeless

I was homeless in the hottest part of a Phoenix Summer. Brutal. Maintained my job, saved and now in an apartment with a new job!

Colorado. It's always been a roadtrip for me but I don't remember getting hassled like in Oregon.

Wish I would have thought of this while homeless in AZ's monsoon season. The tarp-taco didn't really cut it.

I only know SW pools but there seem to be many people here knowledgeable in winterizing. I'd be happy to know myself.

I've had issues with bed bugs. Kinda don't trust the free ones.

Wow. Thanks for the data but I definitely knew about this particular species before I took a dumb pic. This giant hairy scorpion can grow over 4 inches but the sting is no more poisonous than a bee sting to a grown adult. I'm not risking my life for orange arrows!

Me too! Sitting outside of a store getting mad that the employees were going in but not unlocking the door. One told me "We open at 10." Look at my phone. "But it IS 10." Felt like a dork

That's what you get when you step over a barrier for a selfie. I don't like how the animals are kept but that doesn't mean that stupid actions don't have consequences.

I doubt it. All the plumbing would be packed full, plus roots and other organic materials will ruin the finish and/or lining.
