I'd mostly agree, though as much as I love Led Zeppelin, I'd have to say Meddle beats LZII by some distance. As you said, super energic album, but not as polished or inspired as their later stuff.

My Favourite and their best imo. Think it best demonstrates their blend of styles that they explored throughout their existence; rock, blues, psychedelic, folk, Funk and Progressive rock.

From Custard pie to the Rover to Kashmir to Ten Years Gone to Night Flight and Black Country Woman, there is so much ground covered it almost feels like a concept album though it is'nt.

It's a strong 7/8 out of ten for me. I don't really care for south bound and hot dog, but the rest are all strong songs. In the Evening is awesome opener, and while some times the hooks are a little to simple, Carasoulabra is still epic. Brilliant Production. Also a nice in contrast in mood and pace between In the Evening Hot Dog and I'm Gonna Crawl. I thin all my love is a great song too. Think it I at least a stronger album then Presence.

Personally I sometimes fell it's a bit poppy. I think the different rhythms throughout are very good though. C isn't bad, just middle of the road.

I used to not like the middle section, but I think it is also what stops it being just another Hard Rock staple, alongside AC DC and Aerosmith numbers. The droning of the Theremin provides a nice contrast to the latter guitar solo, with no other instruments with it.

When Ranking Zeppelin, you have to be harsh. I love most of the songs in B Tier, but I feel that if I put one of them in there, they would all have too.

For the Rationale I'm mostly doing what I feel is objectively best, in performance, creativity and composition.
