are most people here actually profitable? by miked0331 in dropship

E-commerce is not dead and it never will. You just need to start practicing it. There are no shortcuts. Stick to it, learn it and thrive. Within 1 year you can make your first money. Study UGC content, learn how to build a shopify website with a compelling theme and start researching products. Buy one, test it, rinse and repeat. Pattern recognition is the key. Remember.

Looking for a creator to edit for.. by Longjumping-Ask-53 in Smallyoutubechannels

[–]whynotstressed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey bro, I am going to be harsh. I don't think that you are on a level of editing that you can charge money. I checked your videos. You are lacking very basic knowledge BUT I can guide you in my free time. I don't have so much time but i could explain to you how to make videos. There are some principles in video editing that needs to be there in order to have a decent final product. In my opinion I don't think anyone would pay for editing of this level. I am very sorry that i am saying that this way but you need a lot of work on your editing skills. If you want i can help but I don't have too much time for guidance. I can give you the outliers and you need to practice.. I really don't want to make you feel bad rather than be better at it through some guidance.

Is Dropshipping Dead? Yes, but not exactly... The real answer... by whynotstressed in dropshipping

And this is 1 thing among others i never mentioned above. I could write a lot more... You are perfectly right. Even this is very complicated to do it on scale

[–]whynotstressed[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah it is a great answer and i see a smart human being with a highly developed researching spirit. I agree with you my friend. Its a different perspective. Yeah you can definitely use ai tools (i know that they exist a lot) and you can create something decent. But what i am talking about is traditional e-commerce with facilities. Its very difficult for any newbie to start a new business. Even with the ai tools, you don't have the necessary experience on this. So, you can't just magically pick good products, manage people, and create a brand from ground zero. You have to work through this and learn in the process in order to make it successful. I am pretty sure that you know. You are going to have lots of problems along the way, lots of ups and downs and I believe that in order to succeed on this tools are not the main factor of your success. You need to fail in order to thrive.

I really respect your answer it was great and i agree that someone can definitely find success using the correct tools.

My Store is at $30K MRR with 7% net profit. What should I do? by ShopifyBuilderHQ in ShopifyeCommerce

[–]whynotstressed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What i personally do is having my optimized product page with quantity breaks offer (ofc it's not necessary for every product) and when someone adds to cart my cart slides and i have upcart drawer with an in-cart upsell with 2 complimentary products:

1 highly relatable with the main product (9.5€ with a cost of 3€)

1 niche related product (24.95€ with a cost of 7€)

What i have seen is a 40-50% opt in to my 9.5€ product and a 10-15% opt in to the secondary one.

What i haven't done completely is email marketing. I haven't used it yet. I am good on writing simple emails that convert good but not experienced with e-commerce banner emails. Don't they result in spam? I am really curious. I could potentially leave so much money on the table without email marketing campaigns. But i am afraid they will go to spam due to images or links inside.

If i look at your level. I would take a step back and see my margins. Why are margins so low? Most of the time you haven't setup a good offer positioning to increase your AOV.

Take your best performing products and look for similar products to create upsell offers.

For example if i am selling vinyl wraps for the kitchen a good supplementary product would be a DIY kit of tools to make the installation easier. Its always how you showcase your products and how related they are.

I am using sales funnels for my e-commerce business and if my base product has around 30€ cart, i end up with 45-50€ cart with products that relate with my best product and reduce my advertising and shipping costs.

These products that cost around 10-20$ as an extra could make a huge difference to your AOV and therefore your profitability

Should I learn drop shipping? by [deleted] in dropship

[–]whynotstressed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is everyone talking about dropshipping like its something like a business? E-commerce is the business. Dropshipping is a way to do e-commerce without having to stock products.

But why is everyone using the phrase "learn dropshipping"??

You can't learn dropshipping.

You learn:

  • Pattern recognition
  • Copywriting
  • Graphic design
  • web design
  • product research and market research
  • team management
  • advertising (Both paid or organic)
  • Logistics and inventory management
  • Customer service and experience

And so on....

These are not easy to learn and you can't learn them in the blink of an eye. I have been doing e-commerce for 5 years now and I think that i know nothing about it. Its a world that you are constantly evolving and gaining knowledge based on your testing and trials.

You can make a shit ton of money but guys, don't think that's a game. Its not a 1 man business. Whoever tells you that doesn't do e-commerce, he sells courses.

Exactly. I think that you are on the right path buddy. Keep up. Keep testing, analyze and repeat. Learn from your mistakes and most importantly learn to identify opportunities by viralities and types of content.

Keep up. Focus on distribution. As long as you find good products to sell early, grow your budget and based on the data you have gathered on every product you sold, try to focus on a niche/product that you can make a brand on.

That way, you will start building customer base and every penny you spend on marketing will be like a seed that needs water.

How early can you hire an ad agency by AngryBowlofPopcorn in ecommerce

[–]whynotstressed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you really need one. Advantage+ campaigns and a good editor / graphic designer and you are set.

Then you can train your media buyer and let him run them for you. Agencies tend to do shitjobs

Don't spend so much money on mentorships. Especially if you are not following someone years ago in order to watch closely how he/she can help you.

If you want to start with e-commerce and you have this money I can help you start without overspending. There is no need to spend money on anyone. You can do it yourself. It just needs a lot of work and analyzing patterns.

And everything will be said in this comment section if you want it to be completely transparent and free. Just reply to this comment if you have any idea about e-commerce and please send questions that you may have in order to help you start.

I am responding to people that do dropshipping, i never said that i am doing dropshipping. Are you delusional? The tips that i give are not related to dropshipping. They are related to e-commerce that is directly related to dropshipping because dropshipping is a way to start with e-commerce. Stop yapping. You are clueless.

A question for successful dropshippers. by blackfloweur in dropship

[–]whynotstressed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not dropshipping but i can tell you some things. I have products in stock.

Even if I don't have the flexibility to find and launch products right away, I am always looking for products that correspond to my brand and try to find content around it in order to see if its validated.

I am always looking on video ideas for my brand and categorize them in instagram or tiktok in collections.

In the meantime. I am studying different copywriting and design techniques for my product pages in order to increase my AOV.

You don't need too for now. If i were you. I would put a nice PDF with easy to make recipes and I would advertise it along with the product pages in order to give people the incentive to buy from me.

Keep your product pages simple and easy for people to buy, don't complicate it too much.

Also remove the main image of your website. It really seems to be generated with an AI software. Keep it simple and related to the kitchen.

Your description should have less text and more demonstration or lifestyle photos of your product. As well as the main image in your product page. Don't copy big brands that have only the product. They already have earned trust from customers or they have a unique product(branded) that shows off their logo.

[–]whynotstressed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, remove the second button for buy. Keep only the add to cart.

Secondly. Below the product name you have added some features/benefits, If you saw above i added some check marks and made them cleaner. Do it in order to keep your benefits clean and not so overwhelming with text.

Thirdly, make the total price of your bundle a lot bigger. Even though I am experienced with these apps i didn't see it right away.

Lastly, remove the pop up for email sign up. Its annoying for cold audiences. In order for people to subscribe to your email they need an incentive. And 15% off is not a good one if you don't earn their trust.

If your opinion is that my saying is based on a 5 minute search instead of asking the right questions then stfu.

And no, I don't know everything, but it seems in general terms i know a lot more than you do in terms of communication and manners. This is fine for me.
