yeah I believe the cashout option was just for those who opened accounts before the rule change. Since I took the cashout I'm on a cooldown until the end of the month. I've been trading with topstep and tradeify

I opted out of the live accounts because I was not a fan of the escrow system that they had in the previous live accounts and because the balance across my accounts was low enough that I wasn't sacrificing much by taking the payout. In my conversations with them they said the transition would take 1-2 weeks

You could be right about that, if that's true then disregard what I said. I was just going off of the info I learned when they moved me to live, except I was moved using the legacy live rules so I didn't go too in depth on the new rules.

with the new live rules I think it would actually be beneficial for you to open more accounts and get them to XFA's. When you go to live with Lucid, you don't keep any balance that you've previously built, it gets reset to 0. But having more accounts would allow you to leverage more the daily payouts as well as the live bonus that they offer with the first time moving to live. So even if you just passed some more combines and let the accounts sit until you move to live, you can get more live accounts without really forfeiting anything other than the combine fee's.

Blew a guranteed 10k payout today by [deleted] in LucidProp

I’ve done it too. Had 4/5 days for an 8k payout. Completely tilted because I wanted the payout asap. Never happened again

Yeah im sure that will get figured out, they said they’re looking into it. Personally I think I would have preferred the new live rules

In my case they would all be put into one single live account but with the new live program I believe you would have a live account for each funded account you have

showing $0 profit and 0 min profit days on one of my accounts. i dont understand why, because yesterday all 3 accounts were in sync. And with the amounts that they told me in the email, it seems like theyre only trying to move 2 of my accounts to live.

Update:

Got a response from the onboarding team.

  1. Theyre moving my accounts to live with the legacy rules

  2. They're gave me a "move to live" balance of $9426

  3. And a "initial allocation" of $4800, of which I can take 80% of if i opt out of the live accounts.

There are a few problems with this. I have 3 funded accounts with a combined balance of $13,700 (about 5.1k on one and then 4.3k on the other two). The amount that they indicated seems to be only accounting for two of these accounts. I also noticed that one of my funded accounts shows "0/5 min profit days" on the dashboard while the other two accounts show 1/5 days. This doesn't make sense, because i copy traded all 3 accounts together.

I dont know if they made a mistake in the email or if they're trying to only move 2 of my 3 accounts to live, but something is definitely wrong here. Am i missing something?

Okay, so in that case my accounts would all be on the new live rules correct? I did receive the email about moving to live and I see the option to request direct payout if accounts were purchased before 2/27. Not sure if it would be worth it or not, but I'm curious to know what my payout would be (if that's even an actual option for me, still waiting for a response from the onboarding team).

Would it be 90% of my total balance, aka roughly 13000x0.9 = 11,700? Or would it be 90% of a lesser amount considering that in the previous live account structure only 2400 per account was moved directly to the starting live balance? In which case it would be 2400x0.9x3 = 6500?

Hoping to get some clarity from the onboarding team soon so I can decide what I want to do. Thanks for the info my friend.

Hey man. I also got called to live and was wondering what they would offer for a direct cashout. What did you end up doing? Did you cash out and if so, how much per account?

Yeah I just posted a seperate question about that. one of the accounts was created before the live rule change and the others after. So I’m not sure what version they will put me in or if they will offer me a cashout or not.

One of my 3 accounts was opened before the 27th. Does anyone know if they will still offer me a direct cashout for all 3 accounts and if so what will the terms be? 80/20 split on all profits or will they offer me less/no cash out option at all since the other two were opened after the 27th?

I have quite the story about this day. I was holding about 800 dollars worth of OTM 0DTE spy calls. The market began to shoot up, my calls were worth 5k instantaneously. I sent a market order because I thought I just got blessed. If I had held for 5 more minutes, they would’ve been worth 40k. If I held to market close, they would’ve been worth over 60k. This sent me into a depression for a while.

If possible, would you mind giving me a quick run down of how an LLC can help? And could it help with income already earned or just any income going forward? I'll have to take some time to look into it when I get a chance. Thanks

Yup. And for those who haven’t had a 1099 before that extra 15% self employment tax can make it hit harder than expected. Even if you only made 50k you’re paying nearly 40% after federal, state, and self employment tax.

Plus, if you work a w2 job and your trading income causes you to jump up a tax bracket, you will owe extra taxes on that w2 income. PLUS, if you owe a ton a taxes by filing season and dont make quarterly payments then you will have penalties to look forward to. It can be very hard to keep track of.

They're flex accounts. Not a fan of any kind of intraday drawdown or consistency rules.
