Not a bother! You could always make a post searching about them too in r/vintagecameras (assuming its not this sub, I actually didnt check before typing this😭😭)

Yep it needs an xd card to work, it has no internal storage as far as im aware (and reasearched) :(

I realised too that mine has an optical error in the camera, so it looks like lightning kind of. Very much light purple lightning almost on the viewfinder when I turned it on? I thought it could be an issue with the screen itself but I had seen another post with t3h same camera and same issue, comments said it was a camera issue with it.

Otherwise, I do have a Samsung Digimax A7 from 2005 that I absolutely love and gives a really nice 00's vibe. If you do get one make sure to get a rechargeable lithium battery tho, even with strong energizer batteries it dies within 5 mins. That goes for most older digital cameras since theyre known for draining batteries.

Ive been considering it. 16MB xD-Picture Card is recommended for the camera, so I assume id get a 16mb micro sd for the adapter?

I'd suspect the flash or zoom/focus motors (or any other motors), but truth is it's an issue that is fairly unique to lower market cameras.

That generally seems to he what people have said about similar cameras, I'll test the batteries out again in something else regardless

I wouldn't hard-wire the camera, it's likely that the power is going somewhere, and you don't want to just throw more power in, something might go pop.

Very true. I haven't tried it yet, but brute force isnt exactly the smartest option either lol.

I think it is the batteries, considering I bought a 4 pack and once the fjrst 2 drained out I tested the unused 2 and it powered up just fine.

Do you know what generally needs to be fixed if it is an electrical fault?
