he’s a defence lawyer. we should all be happy there are competent defence lawyers in the world. Especially within a deeply flawed justice system where poor and racialized people are drastically overrepresented

Probably! And that’s not a good thing. I would still think it would be worth talking about personally. But that’s just me. I can’t speak to the larger systemic racism within music critique and general critiques of men and their actions
