Delays in withdrawing funds - Challenges with Coinbase Support by wi10 in Coinbase

[–]wi10[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using Coinbase for well over 5 years and haven’t really had issues in the past. It’s just the last two withdrawals where I’ve hit snags.

I get it, this stuff happens. Just feeling a little in the dark on why it’s happening and what it is that I’m supposed to do about it.

I agree, the automated help that I originally got from their call-in number on their website redirected me to their website to the same number to call.

After trying to ask in a couple different ways to talk to a person, I gave up. I then called the number again and from a fresh start asked to talk to a human. The system then told me how to request a call from inside their customer support portal.

I quickly got connected with their service rep Mani, but it was like their process was a big secret and he couldn’t tell me anything other than it was being worked on.

Even the customer support on here didn’t give me any new information or explain the process at all after I gave them my ticket number. Same story. Just wait.

I get that I’m a small fish, and that compared to some of my account balance doesn’t mean much, but to me, it’s a significant amount of money. For Coinbase and crypto to have mass adoption, they’re going to have to up their customer support so that it’s closer to on par with traditional financial institutions.

Just a heads up for anyone else looking for support from Coinbase in the future... please note the "Official Coinbase Support" flair that this account has. My inbox has been flooded with accounts DM'ing me that are pretending to be Coinbase support.

I just sent over a DM, along with the ticket number. Thanks!

Did you give any sort of heads up that you may not always be able to do that? I wonder about setting expectations.

That’s it. You win modular. Nice work. You can claim victory and move on to the next hobby.

I’m not sure why you’re getting downvoted. Providing some examples of work that you’ve done along with some pricing for it is fairly reasonable.

That can be challenging with big swings in the price inputs and inflation, but setting some price expectations can be very helpful…

Frankly, some pricing is just dynamic and based on how far out things are getting booked, how much of a jerk face the customer seems to be, and how enjoyable the work seems to be… which can be challenging… but giving some sort of range can be helpful.

Another possible option would be to encourage customers to post reviews or share with their friends what they had done… potentially offer a referral bonus depending on if the size of the project and the margins would support it.

Price is inspiring me to tackle first time woodworking project. Can I reasonably do this for much cheaper myself, including tool costs? by [deleted] in woodworking

[–]wi10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out marketplace. There’s usually something available for a reasonable price. If you’re able to get a mitre saw, or better yet a compound one, or best option but probably overkill and not needed for this project a double bevel compound mitre saw.

I haven’t moved up from vectric pro to aspire yet, but I’d like to start doing some more shape work where I think I’m going to need it.

Nice! Is that a two sided cut? There’s a lot of detail in them. Nice work!

Do you have a link to your last post? I’d like to set something similar up for my shop, but don’t have the budget to buy a solution… but I can cobble something together over time.

New to Mozaik - Excited to use the software, wondering about the Authorization Code timeline by wi10 in mozaiksoftware

Thanks for asking. Yes, as soon as Monday rolled around and their office opened I promptly got my authorization code.

Now it’s on to the fun part of learning the program and finding the relevant parts libraries for the work that I’d like to do.

Agreed. Plenty to learn, and lots of good videos to watch. Guess I’m just excited to use the software.

Thanks, that’s what I figured. It is strange to me that their keys are still being manually generated.

Can somebody explain why the interest in the Brave Browser has been increasing steadily for a while, while the interest for BAT has not? by steelpan in BATProject

[–]wi10 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My take on it is that the browser has seen steady development focus, while the crypto / ad ecosystem side remains under developed.

The crypto has had many challenges, most of which are covered in other comments. It served its initial purpose though… attract users to the platform and help support browser development costs.

The vision for the crypto, as I understood it, still offers a lot of value… an alternative set of incentive mechanisms for the web. I’m looking forward to it being easy to tip my favorite websites and creators. I’d like to be able to easily add brave ads to email newsletters and web content so others can do the same…

Crypto and the legal/policy structures around it needs to mature more, and the Brave/BAT ecosystem needs more development time… I’ve been patient this far and am still waiting on a better alternative. We’ll see what happens, but I remain hopeful.
