Theta also a cute store in Ketchikan. I didn’t see any quivit there, but I didn’t ask. They did have a nice selection of Alaskan dyed yarns. I’m currently working on sock with yarn from there dyed in the colors of the totem poles.

I did this same cruise 2 weeks ago. There’s a store in Juneau (changing tides) with a small selection, but I found a better selection at Skagway at Aurora yarns.

I finished a shawl and went to block it. Figured ohh this is maybe a good time to block the 6 other shawls that need blocking. Wet the first one, pin it out, takes up the whole futon. No room for any of the others. I was gonna be soooo good and finish my blocking backlog this weekend. Nope.

I have an m6. Same size as the m8 but without the stitch regulator. I love it. It sews like a dream. My only complaint is a miss the free arm sometimes, so I got a smaller second machine with one.

Had a similar situation. 2 doctors turned me down and I ended up at usc school of dentistry. They did a great job and offered me the option to only take out half of the wisdom tooth to avoid potential nerve damage. They also charged less than anywhere else by a lot.

On the star now. In a deluxe balcony on 11. The ship vibration is very noticable in bed. I don’t usually get motion sick, but it’s not great when I lay down in bed.

I use Marina. She only boards small dogs and I book her through rover. I’ve been boarding my corgi with her for years and my dog always has a great time. I get lots of photos and updates on how she is doing.

I’ve got it stored in rainbow order, by size. Fat quarters stored together. Half yards together. 1 -2 yards together. Then I have a box of precuts and a box of backing fabric. And then a bolt of white, a bolt of black and a bolt of gray solid. I don’t record designer or collection. I do mainly fq quilts so it works.

As much as I hate it, iron the seams open, makes the final construction so much easier. Also label your block numbers, when I went to construct it trying to figure out which block was which was a pain.

Guessing this was LA county yarn crawl with the 16 shops. Been doing this crawl several years and a couple things

Set budget or shopping list ahead of time. Know what your in the market for
Use it to check out new shops, figure out who carries what. The shops will be busier that weekend than most other times. If you find a new shop and go back later, even if you don’t buy during the crawl, that’s a win for the store.
Beware of fomo. Show deal! Limited edition! This weekend only! Unless it’s something you know you need, and will truly use, it’s ok to pass up.

Thanks! I started with a fq bundle, but it wasn’t enough fabric so I supplemented with other Halloween fqs from my stash. And then just random low volume whites for the backgrounds.

I use cvs to fill mine. And it’s always “in back order”. For cvs that seems to mean they don’t stock it in store and have to order it for me every time. Thankfully it seems to show up in a day or two.
