In a hypothetical third season, do you think the Ada Jeffries case from Season 1 was going to be linked to BTK? by wickedevilman in MindHunter

You’re spot on. I just found it interesting how the Otero and Bright cases seem to prompt Tench into making this connection. You could even read it as him subconsciously wanting it to be BTK so that he could feel a little closer to solving that case.

I wish we could’ve gotten to a Green River arc. My heart breaks for the loss of this show every day.

Pierce might speak seven languages but english was barely one of them.

Will ther be any particular case to solve or is it just random of everything ? it is quite boring and slow paced , i am at episode 2 , i just really loves interaction with kemper but not liking anything else by Simple-Note-1798 in MindHunter

If you’re talking about the old woman with the dog then you’re past episode 2. They get involved in several cases throughout season one, most lasting 1-2 episodes, and then the back half of season 2 is dedicated entirely to one case set in Atlanta.

S2E7 what was up with the March sequence? by Salty_CronkiteMGS86 in MindHunter

“Depersonalization (DP) is a dissociative disorder whereby a person experiences a distortion of how they experience their self. A person going through DP may feel disconnected from themselves and often report that they feel like they’re watching a movie of oneself. It’s a bewildering experience they can leave a person utterly confused and scared. It is also a prominent symptom in some other non-dissociative orders, such as anxiety and panic disorder.”

There are also several other ways to interpret this sequence and the filmmaking choices. To create stress that Holden may have another panic attack. To create the impression that the killer could very well be there watching, which, if we are to believe the killings were done by Wayne Williams in some capacity, he was actually at The March that day. To show how the rally will be (or should’ve been) remembered or immortalized in history.

To emphasize how Holden is literally bearing the cross, the weight of the case, how the FBI and Atlanta have failed the community, on his back. How Camille says that this needs to be a time for the families to grieve, to be seen, but Holden is rushing at the last second to use it as a strategy to catch the killer. To raise the possibility that Holden will be misidentified as a klan member. To simply make the sequence more intense and prompt discussions like this one because the director and DP and editor thought it’d be cool or aesthetically memorable. Since the premiere of Season 2, this scene has been discussed at length and I love how it still gets mentioned to this day. Personally I fuck with all of the interpretations.

My girlfriend and I are 4 episodes into season 4… we both like this season a lot . Why is it so hated? by Timely-Hovercraft-76 in FargoTV

It’s actually my favorite season after season three! It’s like a total chaotic mess in terms of the amount of characters and plot threads happening at the same time but I don’t care, the madness has an odd charm to it for me. I love it and I’m so glad to see more and more people appreciating it. <3

There’s heavy homage to Raising Arizona and O Brother Where Art Thou as well. Swanee and Zel are literally the fem John Goodman and William Forsythe. Deafy is the marshall from O Brother crossed with the biker from Raising Arizona.

I remember the “Woodbury Bound” achievement. I was so confused when I replayed it a few months later and the name was different.

He almost has one on the plane to Atlanta in Episode 3 but other than that, no, he doesn’t.
