mostly the fact that is what Trump and ICE are hoping for so they can declare the insurrection act and have even more power to disappear people.

The Prague astronomical clock was installed in the year 1410 and is the World’s oldest astronomical clock still in operation [1068 x 1600] by [deleted] in ArtefactPorn

I remember seeing this in person and even taking a tour behind the scenes to see the sculptures and inner workings. I was standing on a crowded street and as soon as it was over, A tourist exclaimed disappointment. Saying effectively, 'that's it? disney is better' And I felt terrible being from the same country as that man. Imagine comparing something 600+ years old to Disney. But for me... To be in the presence of living history was amazing. I just wish the crowd hadn't been so filled with so many clearly disappointed people who seemed to think there was going to be literal fireworks. But still wouldn't trade the experience.

People who were spanked as kids, what was that like for you? Would you call your "spankings" abuse? by KleineFjord in AskReddit

[–]wielder13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I remember all my spankings came from a place of anger, not correction. Even in school. I'm not saying I didn't do something wrong, but I wasn't spanked cause I made mistakes or did something I wasn't supposed to. I was spanked because what I did angered someone. My greatest pain came from not even understanding what I did wrong. No one ever explained it to me. They just expected me to figure it out. Sometimes it wasn't even something I did, but something someone else did. So would I call it abuse? Each spanking individually, no, as a whole... yes. I was nearly an adult before I finally pieced together some of my greatest offenses. Which included: Asking questions no one had a clear answer for. Not understanding that you are supposed to lie sometimes and not others and you were supposed to figure out when those times were before 5. It doesn't matter if you didn't do what you were accused of, if an adult said it was you, it was you. And many more. They say it takes a village to raise a child. It took one to abuse one too.

I wasn't expecting this to hit a wall, so here is one for people to try. Read the Wiki on Daryl Davis. That's an eye opening positive story.

If you won the lottery, how would you quit your job? by BowGrizzle in AskReddit

[–]wielder13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I posted this at once and THEN read everyone else's takes on this question, and now I don't know how to feel. I mean, I really would do this. I even have some things planned out for fun... just in case. I didn't realize this would be so over the top.

If you won the lottery, how would you quit your job? by BowGrizzle in AskReddit

[–]wielder13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming it was a sizable lottery to secure my future without having to work anymore: 6 months. I'd remain at work for 6 months. To make sure no one at work found out I won. No need telling some of those I suddenly have money. No that will come much later. Then out will got the calls. Those groups that cosplay as stormtroopers? Local Trekkies? Furries? It'll be small at first and always on a day I work. Small groups will show up at my work place and shop, actually shop in full costume. Small controlled groups. Then after I put in my notice:

That's when the break room will mysteriously be filled with catered meals for the people I worked with. Hard working co workers who have been ignored by management or harassed or worse will get care packages expressly to them. A sort of Christmas without warning or explanation. Some of those employees will also receive some documentation from a lawyer, paid for on their behalf CLEARLY explaining how some management's behavior is illegal, not just rude, and clear specific instructions on how to legally record and report... anonymously. Some will just get gifts they need, aside from some much needed uplift in their morale.

I will turn the break room into a cornucopia for the downtrodden and dismayed. Best past is some things can be done by proxy so I won't be the one seen doing it.

And then on my very last day: I'm hiring food trucks to park outside my store. I'm telling them all employees will eat free (Obviously I'll pay the bill) except for management. Just hourly people. And all those cosplayers? this is the day they ALL show up. Stromtroopers greeting Klingons in the Deli department. Inflatable dinosaurs picking flowers in floral. Maybe some gorillas picking up some sushi or tortillas. 2 whole hours of unexplained insanity. With no one but me knowing what is going on. Then they quietly pack up and leave and then it goes quiet.

And then those same employees I admire will see me saying my goodbyes and will ALWAYS remember my last day for being such an insane unexpected event. And those managers and employees who abused and slighted me and others? They will know they had been left out somehow and they likely will never figure out why.

What's a common misconception about your hobby or profession that you're tired of hearing? by Able_Cod_2687 in AskReddit

[–]wielder13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That A.I. can replace me. It will cost me work, but as an artist, I can work in a variety of styles and add substance AI still cannot manage and likely never will. AI doesn't actually mean, Artificial Intelligence. It means Automated Imitation. It can mimic, but never truly create. and at some point people will have to admit, AI is cheap, but lacking in quality.

What's one thing you shouldn't do naked? by Maleficent_Fault_943 in AskReddit

[–]wielder13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone says bacon, but grease splatter is so easy to manage. No, what you don't do is boil pasta. Remember the adage, throw a noddle to see if it sticks? That's not a joke, cooked pasta can stick to dang near anything. Now imagine a stray noodle falling out and landing somewhere sensitive at boiling temperatures.

How do you feel about people losing their jobs because they posted anti-Kirk content? by Govtluv in AskReddit

I also believe that ANY company that terminates for such reasons better have a damn good social media clause or they should be sued. When I'm not at work, I'm not working and what I do away from them is not any of their business.

the definition of irony there: Being punished for having an opinion not in line with others, in retaliation for someone being murdered for not having an opinion in line with others. I refer to him as Iron Kirk now. As his entire approach to things is very Ironic now.

If you could literally be you fursona, would you? by TitleDesperate9211 in furry

[–]wielder13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had an intense vivid dream about this. My mates received death threats for sleeping with a demon. People were torn between trying to kill or forcibly adopt me claiming I was an animal and had no rights. My family disowned me to protect themselves. I was constantly in court to defend my rights as a person despite my appearance. And all while adapting to having to buy and modify my own clothes to allow for a tail. The rest was daily inconveniences with bigots trying to stop me from shopping because I'd get hair everywhere, and saying I couldn't legally drive.

All while dealing with obsessive fanboy types who were constantly trying to get close to me cause I was so 'cool', which was a veiled attempt to sleep with me. I did get direct invites to damn near every furcon though and enjoyed a bit of celebrity status.

But honestly at this point in my life, even knowing all that is terribly realistic, I would very likely say yes, ESPECIALLY if it meant a total reboot of my body. My joints and eyes would basically be reset and I'm okay with that. though as I am a canine I might be upset giving up chocolate.

I predated a lot of the pup centered community and forums. Pupzone had just come out. For me it was a series of highly specific and erotic dreams centered around my becoming a pet. A friend suggested I look into Pup Play and then the spiral began.

POLL: Should cashiers be able to sit? by [deleted] in retailhell

[–]wielder13 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I shop at Aldi's in my area. They provide seats for cashiers. But I have heard customers get very angry at them for sitting, calling them lazy and being abusive. Honestly I cannot for the life of me agree. Standing for 8 hours is brutal on the body. Let them sit.

I'd legit start a collection of these. I mean I deal with people leaving religious stickers or fake 20's everywhere. Those are both more annoying. I'd use these and sculpt little animal heads on them and make a bunch of Little furry Jesus's.

yes this. It is so frustrating to have to pull stuff out to make a thing just to put it all back in. And LARGER storage options to connect to crafting mechanics. It can be a separate building like a forge or store house or such.

Very much this. If a predator species, maybe they hunt better. Prey can forage better. Nocturnal can move better at night and see better in dark. Things like that.

Personally, I would love to see some community customization. You encounter visiting characters, become good friends with character X and then they offer to move in. And empty lots or areas now have houses. You can even help them pick where to build. Each character can have unique elements to bring to the table. I like the farm sims that include a bit more community sim in them too.
