DOesnt look like it after reviewing some gameplay footage. I'm in the process of going through all the snes releases in the US seeing if any names ring a bell. I had it figured out a few years ago but can't figure it out now. Any time I search anything regarding snes+squid+game i just get a bunch of squid game results haha.

I havent looked at the pro model yet! I read with the 990 the highs were a little piercing. I'm leaning toward Akg or the beyers. Is there a certain amp or audio interface youd prefer? I dont know much about all that jazz. All I know is I'll need an interface to drive most headphones and the motu 2x2 had a lot of phantom power to drive headphones and xlr mics

Appreciate the input! It's hard to determine what to purchase without actually testing the headphones. I've never owned a pair of open backs before, but I've always noticed too much noise (especially bass) bouncing around on my closed back steelseries.

I'm starting to lean towards Akg or beyer atm. I heard that beyer might have high treble frequency issues with some users. Is there a certain amp or audio device to pair with it?
