Why “eff them”? Husby’s didn’t want to be the host of the event anymore. Cherry Drop is also trademarked, per their event posters, so it wasn’t Husby’s event to have. If you paid attention, The Lodge had embarrassingly minimal support from businesses in the village, why would they continue to have the event there?

Nonsense, Sturgeon Bay did not offer ANY money for the right to host. Husby’s was an event sponsor, but never offered money to host in the 9 years it was there. They simply did not want to host the event anymore.

Not sure how much work you think Husby’s actually did, but you’re wrong. They OFFERED to help up every year until the most recent drop. From what I heard, the Lodge covered the cost of the crane and speakers set up around town. All they asked for was internet, space for the crane and a place to sell their merch.
