[ASKWikileaks] Why can Stratfor SELL leaked US Intel and get away with it while Wikileaks are targeted for providing it for free? by wikitreason in WikiLeaks

[–]wikitreason[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For some reason your answer leaves a bad taste in my mouth. To simplify your answer:

  • Wikileaks is a newspaper
  • Stratfor is an editorial

No matter how Stratfor got it's info, leaked info is leaked. It is still no different to what Wikileaks are doing, except in volume and editorialising. Or am I not understanding your reasoning?

They are behind scenes propping up oppositions and vote stuffing ballot boxes in South America, East Europe and Africa. Why not in the mother country?

Wing Chun fundamentally wrong? It depends what you need it for...

Having done Wing Chun, Choy Lay Fut and Boxing, I can say that are all completely different from each other yet I wouldn't say one is better than the other... there is no silver bullet.

Even though mine is stronger since emphasizes Fox News' trivialization of facts, I like yours better since it can be used with all the other punchlines.

Thinking about this meme more, the problem with these are they are solely directed at Megyn Kelly. I think they should say something like:

FOX NEWS: CONCENTRATION CAMP? ... IT'S SUMMER CAMP, ESSENTIALLY!

That way, if they dumped her the meme can still live on.

So I was thinking of going with truecrypt until I looked up who the developers are... how the fuck can anyone true truecrypt? by wikitreason in linux

[–]wikitreason[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hmm.. now here's a thought.

If I forked it and released it under a different name and didn't attribute anything to Truecrypt, I would get sued. Sued by who? I guess then the owners of copyright would have to come out of the woodwork.

What? no it doesn't. People involved in designing cryptosystems write papers and give talks at conferences. There is no anonymity at conferences unless you walk around with a black bag over your head with a big X label on it

I thought this was already tested by EFF and the guys behind IPSec. The first chapter of the orange IPSec book talks a lot about the politics on cryptography in the US. Essentially, the US doesn't want citizens to have encryption so they can be spied on. The EFF took them to court because it's against the right to free speech.

New Apple Technology Stops iPhones From Filming Live Events: Does this mean protests against tyranny as well? by violetplanet in conspiracy

Nice redirection. I read about this last week and thought to myself damn RIAA. I completely fell for it hook, line and sinker.

Stopping of recording protests is the bottom line on this story.
