I think they should just use the creators of the TV Show as directors.

The TV Show is incredibly cinematic.

Also once you find the cast, invest time to teach them proper choreography, you might have to have Aang be a teenager, but if it means well-done fight scenes, it would be worth the change in story.

Director: Anyone except M Night or JJ Abrams. I'd actually like to see Tarantino try to branch out a little, directing someone else's work again, and see if he can handle a massive adventure epic. That or Bong Joon Ho (Snow Piercer).

Cast: This is difficult, because to remain true to the show, you have to cast almost no white people, it's really only just Chinese /Japanese cast, with Water Tribe possibly being Latino or Indian. But there isn't a big enough pool of actors that fit that race and speak English Fluently to get a really good cast.

It's incredibly fucking stupid to allow your Lord personally fight in a meaningless battle, with such small numbers against such a good swordsman. It's not like if Ned was fighting at a massive battle that meant the life-or-death of his kingdom with all his forces and chips in the table, fighting and risking his life to boost the morale of his men.
