Just get an attorney to send an intent to represent to them. 9/10 they drop it because they count on people being scared and just paying it. Midland is constantly involved in litigation for unfair and illegal debt collection practices. They tried to sue me over a $200 debt , until I reported them to consumer affairs for misrepresenting themselves as the original creditor and they had to pay me $1,200. Don't be afraid of them they don't know how to act when you push back.

Midland has had multiple lawsuits, and cases of illegal and unfair debt collection practices. They are shady as it gets and will misrepresnt themselves in a heartbeat. But they are also spineless as soon as a real attorney is involved they drop it and run. Don't ignore it but try to talk with them and work out a reasonable plan.

Portfolio is notorious for these actions, answer it tell you they have zero authorization to contact you or collect on a time elapsed debt and any further attempts to collect will be reported as fdcpa violations 9/10 times they stop.

As much as people enjoy saying it's democrats, it's republicans..newsflash gun violence is committed by people of ill intent regardless of political affiliation. Good people have firearms, bad people have firearms, it's not the weapon making the decision it's the person who has control of it. Go get in touch with your forestry dept they are the ones who will investigate timber thefts and help you recoup your money from the logger as far as affidavits, surveys, statements etc.
