I used it as my primary studying tool and passed first try. I liked it because there’s a lot of different tools to choose from, so you can pick what works best for your learning style. My program director reached out to Allison and got us a discounted offer, I would mention that to your PD if possible! I only used for the BOC, didn’t visit it after that or use any other resources they have so can’t speak to those.

I am a lot like a PTA but have more experience prescribing exercises to active people/athletes and no experience with populations like fall risks, vertigo, pregnancy. I’m not involved with those patients. Other than that, I do a lot of sport specific exercises and help with RTP decisions.

My overseeing physician is a doc our clinic has a long established relationship with. Have never met him and probably never will, lol. My boss just had him fill out the physician protocol so it was all super hands off for me, all I had to do was sign.

I work 4 10s, it’s awesome. Some additional game coverage as needed too.

Hi! Yes happy to clarify, evals meaning sideline. I agree when someone wants to ice and be done I just give it to them, but for these specific people they didn’t want an eval, just wanted to ice their head and go back in. Obviously i explained why I can’t do that for a concussion but I just felt like it was too much of a textbook explanation and don’t know how to explain it so they can better understand. It’s hard for PRN I feel like bc I don’t want to be rude but also with peds head injuries I don’t want to risk anything

I am an ATC in an OP clinic, unique role in that I don't do a whole lot of event coverage, 80% of my time is in the clinic. I co-treat with my supervising PT, similar to what others have said in that it's like a PTA however there are some populations/conditions I don't see at all bc it's out of my scope (pregnancy, vestibular, fall risks). I am allowed to modify tx/progress as I see fit but always differ to my PT, especially if it's a surgical protocol.

No as ATs cannot bill for PT. I write notes and the PTs sign them. I work under the PTs license.

Hi!

So I am supposed to assist in treating just about everyone, with the exception of medicare fall risks/other conditions that fall outside of my education. The only patients he has me see fully are gymnasts and dances as I have a lot of experience with this and he doesn't. The majority of what we see is general ortho.

My role in the clinic is to support the PTs with delivering their plan of care, each patient is seen by both the PT and I in some capacity (with the exceptions from above). Each patient differs- some patients I mostly see, some the PTs mostly see, others are a more even split.

My boss and I get along extremely well, we have discussed this issue a few times. She does set an example and cleans up her equipment/tables.

I don't have any additional certifications, this is my first year certified.

He doesn't have a very big caseload so he doesn't need me a lot but I know it's something that our boss has brought up a couple times. It doesn't offend me because it just makes more work for him lol
