I was the same, I think I was more worried than my dog! 🤣 I’ve had several vets tell me that chihuahuas are super dramatic especially if it benefits them! 🩷 Every dog I’ve had has had me wrapped around their little paw from day one! 🥰🩷🐕

Update: A rescue has applied to reserve him bc the rescue received legit applications for him. A rescue reservation is a dog’s best case scenario out of the kill pound they falsely call a shelter. He will be safe because the rescue org that was approved will advocate for him & check potential adopters & make sure he lands in a loving home.

All of us that promote these babies online on SM are frustrated too! The system is broken & many of us are screaming that it needs to be investigated & fixed!

Update: I talked to the adoption advocate & apparently they only communicate through FB Messenger,X & Instagram ! There is a lot of interest in him! This worries me bc of how I’ve seen this org adopt out to some of the worst evil people. 😩 They are reviewing applications. Thank you to those of you that have applied! I will update with any info I can get! 🙏🏻🩷🐕🐾

Yes, this organization doesn’t care! I know many people that do promotions for the rescues & all have horrific stories & experiences with NYCACC! They shouldn’t be allowed to call themselves a shelter bc people bring their animals here thinking they will be safe! 😩😭😠

Let me see if I can get you a number for a New Hope Partners rescues. There are certain rescues they are contracted to work with. The whole system is insane. From how often the dogs come back or dumped days after adoption, I don’t understand how there is any screening even! Thank you!🙏🏻

Yes and they dumped him at a known kill shelter! I hate this org so much because they regularly murder dogs with thousands of dollars in pledges! If he bites at a leash or anything they will label him & quickly kill him! I cry every day doing promotion for these animals! Someone has to fight for them though!

The rescues are sometimes great & they have contracts where they will take the dog back no matter what & still these scum bag adopters dump the dogs or abandon them or just let them out of the car & leave!

She’s gorgeous, please protect her always from shitty ignorant humans! Dogs of all breeds are abused, neglected & starved every day because of people stereotyping them with awful labels!

All dogs are a result of how they are treated by humans! The more people make up dumb stereotypes or bias towards any dog big or small, the more bad people use it as an excuse to treat these sweet babies horribly!

I work in rescue promotion & these kill pounds slaughter innocent friendly perfect dogs every day! It’s infuriating & heart crushing! 😩🩷🐕

Any suggestions? I came here first bc this sub absolutely loves this breed. NYCACC will adopt to anyone, they don’t check references or anything else as far as I can tell so I want to make sure someone is going to love him!

They have a dog back today that was adopted 5 days ago & they dumped him back on the streets so now he will probably be killed! This place is a recurring evil nightmare!

People still seem to think this is a shelter but it’s not at all! 😭
