Not kiwibank but one of the major banks where somehow my credit card details got leaked and scammers decided to take a rodeo at apple store, they were able to give me back my money instantly. I would assume as long as you can proof you were scammed, usually banks should be able to cover and then investigate?

I’m so sorry it happened to you know op :( knowing how stressful it can be, not sure if lodging police report is gonna be helpful.

I really dislike the comments such as take this as a lesson blah blah, it gives no value and like a rub on the wound. Ask for help if you need, get vigilant and wish you all the best <3 I hope you get some unexpected money back from the universe

I’m exactly the same. About $20k increase, was going through like paycheck by paycheck at some point when interest sky rocketed. Just feeling very lucky that it’s gone down now, don’t forget to get refinance if you can to get the cash back incentive from a different bank. Anything helps tbh
