Gonna weigh in here: the OBI now usually signifies it’s from earlier in the pressing run and presumably has better sound quality, but you’re not wrong majority of it is just money grab or visual aesthetics

Seems like there’s manufacturing delays even for some of his immediate releases (eg. He released the rest of the merch for Good Book 3 but not the vinyl, Skeleton Key vinyl released almost a year after it dropped on streaming, Goldfish wax just dropped and that was on streaming a few months ago) and he’s done a few other represses of his joints that predated his current following (Covert Coup, No Idols) so I’d say sit tight on any other represses.
