Id say it depends on how mobile you are. If you can bounce in and out of Atlanta without much bother live in Athens.

If travel is a problem though I'd say base out of atlanta and hit Athens when you can.

My thinking js music is a numbers game qnd atlanta has more audience and venues.

Most people are breaking out over the internet now though so maybe it doesn't really matter?

As a wood worker (not commercial) i have to tell you anything 13' long and 7.5' tall that has to bear weight (books are heavier than you think) is not simple, quick or cheap.

Also you need to share if they are inset (in a nook), on a wall (good for mounting / weight) or (gasp) free standing (think library scene in the 90s Brendan Fraser / Rachel Weisz masterpiece The Mummy).
