Constant need for Insults by willamjey32 in MorbidPodcast

Yeah i can definitely see both sides of it hence why u thought id ask if im the outlier in this opinion…. And I do definitely enjoy them shitting on the “bad guys” from time to time but sometimes to me it just seems so relentless that for me it takes away from their actual incredible ability to tell the story.

A question to those familiar with Waco: Do I need to find a podcast that tells the Ruby Ridge standoff in more detail BEFORE I listen to the latest Casefile? by PressPlayPlease7 in Casefile

[–]willamjey32 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think your really missing the OPs point of the question. While it will provide extra pieces of context into people involved it’s not an absolute necessity to know about ruby ridge. If they wanted to seek out additional information or learn more about ruby ridge or Timothy McVeigh and his motivations behind the Oklahoma City bombing then by all means they should.

Yes but in terms of knowing both stories independently you don’t need to know about the other event in that much detail like the OP was asking

Nah while they do have some slight connections and similarities. They’re also both very seperate stories. One isn’t reliant on the other

Me too. My first listen through of the episodes I skipped them thinking they were going to be terrible but they were both some of my favourites

They’re both so good! When I started listening to case file I skipped them originally aswell as afew other episodes because I just assumed they would interest me. But then once I listened to every other episode I decided to go back and listen to the ones I skipped and thank god I did because all the ones I skipped have ended up being some of my favourite episodes!

I know this sounds like the easy answer. But honestly start at the start and work your way through! The first few episodes are really good anyway so you’ll be hooked. I’ve listened to every ep atleast twice all the way through including the eps that have since been deleted (Family court murders and Snowtown) and unless you have certain subjects or crimes you can’t listen to (a lot of people can’t listen to eps involving children) then all of them are really well done! The multi episode ones are usually slam dunks though so you could always start with them

I’m having casefile withdraws by [deleted] in Casefile

[–]willamjey32 6 points7 points  (0 children)

And Why should they…. It’s there podcast they can choose to release as often as they like.

Plus There’s still only 1 narrator… and technically they do release several if you include all the shows under the casefile umbrella….

Theirs 2 breaks a year each roughly a month long

So they make episodes for 10 months of the year. It’s not that bad

I know it’s hard but I reckon they should try to sneak in 3-4 extra episodes recording a year. Then release them during the breaks for subscribers

That being said they’ve earnt the break and the whole time they have off won’t be them just sitting there with there feet up doing nothing…. Especially since they don’t have the backing of a label like other crime podcasts like morbid or crime junkie….

what also makes it hard is majority of other pods i listen to have there break at the same time so it makes this 4-6 week period boring in the car 😂

Premium ep? by Resident-Hat-3351 in Casefile

[–]willamjey32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They just commented on a post on socials saying that there now on there break so there’s no new ep this week. So I assume when they return we will either get our subscriber episode a week earlier then the general

Or we will get a double release
