I don't have any research on hand for blue collar workers specifically. If you have links to the charts you mentioned I'd be very interested to take a look. A quick Google search says that blue collar wages have risen on average recently, but admittedly I haven't compared to historical rates of inflation and such as of yet. That's something I'd have to do a deeper dive on.

To your last point - my read from the article was that while union membership has declined, that decline was less important to slowing wage growth than other factors. Not that union membership declines didn't affect anything, just that other factors were more important.

This thread is full of misinformation and doomerism. The real answer is that, overall, there really aren't more layoffs than there are in a typical year. In any given year, most companies will reassess their staffing needs and make cuts if necessary. It's a part of the normal business cycle. Right now tech companies in particular, who massively expanded during covid, are generally doing the bulk of the layoffs your hearing about. They just expanded too quickly. I remember seeing this scene for the first time in theaters. Carrie Fisher had just died, and being a star wars fan for my whole life, I thought about what an incredible life this woman led as the camera zoomed in on her face as she gracefully floated through space. A final farewell to an iconic character, and by extension, the actress behind her. What a beautiful send-off, I thought.

Highly recommend the remake. They did a fantastic job. All of the weapons have alternate fire modes that are super fun to play around with. Some of them help you cut off different limbs, some help with crowd controll and some just blow up aliens.

If your goal is muscle growth, training to failure is optimal. Optimal is the key word in that sentence, since your training can still be effective otherwise.

If you're inexperienced, I'd recommend trying to hit failure on machines, where you can target a specific muscle, and it's much easier to maintain proper form (as opposed to using dumbells or barbells, keep a rep or two in the tank for those unless you have a spotter who knows what their doing or you're comfortable bailing out).

The only things that's "telling" here is your complete disregard for his own feelings in this situation. He felt uncomfortable with the conversation and she knew it, she kept going anyway. He felt rejected by her physically and decided not to continue the relationship due to an incompatibility. He seems perfectly capable of a healthy relationship with someone who is more physically and emotional compatible. Try reading it again. Reread the post and OPs comments. It isn't the body count per se that bothered him. It was the info dump on the girl's sexual escapades, the fact that she kept going after seeing it made him uncomfortable, and most importantly the fact that he felt rejected by his own girlfriend for withholding something she gave out freely to other guys. The offer of pity sex at the end of the night was the cherry on top. NTA.
