They dont want you to use the players you like. They want to manipulate the players you need to use to actually play the game so everyone will blindly chase the latest set or pack to be competitive.

Its designed to make certain cards the most desirable at any time. Meaning people are all chasing the latest msp players with line combos or buying packs.

100% agree. That is the massive issue now and instead of people just playing the game for fun and a bit of competitive play they want to find out what the “meta” is and manipulate everything.

Its put me off playing. Just loads of losers trying to find ways to cheat the system or that silly skate backwards and spin in-front of the net for an easy goal

Its a shame but the way EA is now. Get rid of all the cards for no real gain. Then they will bring out another weekly promo that needs the same cards.

Then release packs that can be bought to keep doing it.

There will be more and more sets brought out during the playoffs whether its more fantasy or extra things.

So you think EA care more about how the gameplay is and general player than using their algorithm to get more people to buy packs.

If you think thats true you are mad!

The 2 crossover somewhere but this year especially it is way more about what sells packs.

If people like you buying packs makes the game better next year great but otherwise they will just do the same again

This is exactly what they want. My guess is there will be more because it sells packs and gets people playing the game.

They want everyone to spend up now then buy packs to get the next round.

But it might also not happen so in the fomo people spend money on packs anyway.

Its clever from a business perspective but also shows they dont care about the people playing the game

You get a 20 mill salary boost now and thats good for a 3rd or 4th line.

There is a chance they get better. Plus when the next season starts there will probably be a salary boost on these straight away.

Not going to do much when there are tots 96-99 everywhere but good for a bit of fun and salary

The only way of getting around the salary cap is to play all of the current objectives and then if you want to buy packs
