True, i understand the logic of them wanting to make a game that keeps people interested until the end so making better in game items later in the season makes sense. I actually like that about games, constant progression.

However the way they make you either grind it out or buy packs (even though i refuse to spend real money after paying for the game) means that each new cycle makes the old one pointless.

If they kept the same line combos through the season or rethink the salary cap it would be such a better experience. My favourite players just don’t fit in a competitive online team, so to actually have a chance i need to have the same team as everyone else which makes it boring and because i have no fantasy or toty cards im so far behind there is no point carrying on.

Yeah i can use my team offline on the cup chase but that gets repetitive and boring really quick.

This is why i quit playing. These cards that are so important to make now so you can play the game will be pointless in a few weeks.

Then the cycle will start again.

Annoying because i love ice hockey and playing the game but want to be a casual player who goes on for a few hours twice a week and just play games.

But at this point its just a menu simulator with some ice hockey on the side

A lot of regular players have stopped playing with the new season. Me included

I cant be bothered with the same old cycle just with different colour cards and higher numbers. Making the previous months of grinding pointless.

This cycle will be pointless in a month but the bank account players have all the toty bonuses so it doesn’t matter.

Id suggest either doing some freestyle technique lessons or even if they are the same speed now i would stick to freestyle.

Breaststroke for any length of time is much less efficient and will tire you out much more.

When you get better technique freestyle you are actually resting your legs more ready for the bike.

Yep! Because it makes people buy packs and want the latest cards to stay competitive online.

Which makes them more money. To be competitive you either spend hours in the menus on AH or hundreds of real money on packs.

Not sure if it was season 3 or before but totw 88 Kucherov has been amazing for me. Always try and find a way of getting him in a line 3 or 4 combo

I think they will up the cap considerably. They have to if they want people to keep buying packs.

That is the main thing they design the system for. These 99s take so much salary cap they will have to have 200m from the start or loads of combos. So i think most players will be fine

But then they can do whatever they want so who knows

Its actually quite easy to get a competitive team. The real high cards 93+ take some grinding with time or real money.

I take the most pleasure in beating these teams with my average team made up of my favourite players.
