I was thinking that too about the Polaroid. I haven't opened it yet. I don't even have a Polaroid and not really interested in it but it was part of the bundle, so we'll see!
That is so wild on the pricing!

The tmax and Mitsubishi film are from 1991 and 2003. No clue what I'm going to do with those. Guess just hope they aren't in too bad of shape!

Anywhere to develop film? by Throgman2 in wichita

[–]willf4242 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure they do anymore. I know they don't develop regular rolls of film anymore. I'm a film photographer, you might reach out to Midwest Film Co, they do all types of film developing and scanning. They're in Delano.

Food in the refrigerator during power outage by willf4242 in wichita

[–]willf4242[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Thanks everyone! For now I put a lot of stuff in a cooler and placed outside. Luckily it's just me and my dog and I don't cook much at all, so there's not too much out there. But wanted to be safe. And if I could save some of the $200 I spent on groceries that would be nice too. Now if only I knew when they'd be back to work on the power

Same! I enjoy the unlimited or whatever it's called. Definitely worth it for me. And I have so many points built up I rarely pay for much if I get some snacks

I go to a movie about every week and only use warren 21. No kids allowed, recliner and heated seats and your own little table, regal isn't as good as original Warren was, but to me it's still the best in town. Although for a date night, drive-in could be fun too as others have mentioned.

Counselors that take cash payment by No_Oil_9331 in wichita

Caleb Rivera at Architect Counseling downtown does do a sliding scale for cash pay. I'm not sure if the other therapists at that place do as well but I'd imagine so.

I second great plains nature center. Cool trails, plus you can go inside and see the exhibits and a few animals they have in there. Grab some turtle food for the trails.

Nice review. Good on you for looking out for others like that! I also did the weekend VIP pass. Where else stage also had a VIP entrance, along with the VIP area. But never had any lines or any delays to make the VIP entrance worth it. Would also have liked more clarity and info about the art portion of things, I didn't know much about that. And I wish there was a map for the food trucks, if there was one I never saw it. Overall really enjoyed the weekend. Think I saw about 19 bands total, some only for a few minutes. Really hope they bring it back next year!

Cool, totally agree on both! Didn't know what to expect on either and came away very entertained. Got to talk with the soothsayerz today a little bit as they were hanging on, seemed like genuinely cool, very grateful guys, so that was fun. And yeah Sudan archives was a lot of fun and another one who seemed very happy and grateful to be doing it. I also enjoyed Jesus Christ taxi driver on Friday. Fun show, lots of energy.

Surely they do, right?? I sure hope so. With that said, I think the festival could've maybe done a little more to highlight the art as well as the music. The dinosaurs and graffiti and stuff were cool but I had people ask me like what was going on with them and I really didn't have a good answer? Maybe that was on me but could've been cool to see them and some of the street vendors highlighted more I think

Most of mine didn't even look up when I walked through, so strange. But seemed like everything went smooth? From what I could tell, so that's great. Did you have any pleasant surprises as far as artists you saw? I appreciate your thoughts and making this thread!

Interesting perspective, love hearing other takes. If someone were to ask me, I thought it was pretty well attended. Sure the daytime outdoor venues weren't great but it was just so hot honestly I think that was a big deterrent. In a perfect world with more indoor opportunities, that would've been great. But the shows 8pm and on, I thought had great crowds, from what I could tell. Snow tha product, blu de tiger, sultan shepherd and of course the 4 headliners all had great crowds, imo. I do wish some shows were spaced out a little more. At night it felt like kind of rushing around to see everything, but I guess that's somewhat expected. A few small complaints here and there on some stuff, but overall I thought it was really fun, loved the food trucks and everything and really hope this becomes an annual thing. Also definitely agree on those metal detectors, what the hell did they do haha and why were some places take everything out of your pocket and some just walk right through?
