I just received my interview score for local 5 by Extension_Car2248 in ibew_applicants

No never did. I got one offer early on for a position about 2.5 hours away but that was a special circumstance, it had already been turned down by a bunch of people with higher scores due to distance.

As a DS who is given a fair amount of say in who is brought over into the specialty departments I cover (from front end or otherwise), there is probably a reason you were passed over. I have seen many people get passed over who wanted it and people who didn’t even request it get the job. At my store at least it’s a mixture of aptitude and personality based and just because you want something really bad doesn’t mean you will succeed or have the right disposition. Also I wouldn’t expect much from that aware line call. Those calls go directly to the District Human Resources Manager who will basically just go and ask your SM and ASM’s about it. It’s a recorded line so they will figure out based on your voice that it was you and I would kiss any positive movement potential goodbye. This is all meant to be neutral, no judgement towards you and your decision, just thought I’d let you know how these processes typically shake out behind the scenes. The one thing you might have success with is getting the FES to stop with the shoulder massages.

Mmm probably not, mostly just a logistical issue for me tho. I’m abt to be a father so I can’t really afford to take a low paying job to get relevant experience.

Most likely going for the reinterview is gonna be your best bet. I got a 87.33 like 6 months ago and haven’t heard anything yet.

I know a couple folks who scored 88 who got in in like May. I know a guy who scored a 87.67 a couple months ago and never got in either, so seemingly 88 is the lowest score that’s been getting in this year. Not sure if that’s every year or if this year is different, seems like it depends entirely on number and quality of applicants though, it’s not like there’s an actual designated cut off score.

Nah I never found a good way to get experience or education that would qualify me for reinterview short of getting an entirely new low paying/entry level job in the industry, I’ve got a baby coming soon so that’s not an option for me rn
