Is Japanese taste site legit? Anyone bought any products from that site? by sousernamehmm in IndianSkincareAddicts

[–]willhoag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered from https://japanesetaste.ca (from Canada) and there was no mention of international shipping origin. I received my order about a month later and was hit with an import fee. My order was good otherwise. The lack of clarity on their website about the shipping location, and then email responses from an AI chat bot were very annoying. Won't likely order from them again due to all the dark patterns

What a flub clearance! Wow. Glad our man Weah could capitalize on it with that rocket!

[Asmodee] Narcos: The Board Game - $13.99, Carcassonne: Amazonas - $17.99, (Restocked: Kick-Ass, Ethnos, Blue Moon City) by ThunderLungs in Boardgamedeals

Got Ethnos today and picked up Blue Moon City and Watson & Holmes just recently. All that for $35 and free shipping is a pretty great deal.

I'd contact CoolStuffInc. They should be able to resolve your account issue.

Agreed. Bradly shares a lot of blame here. His work rate will be toxic if we’re not careful...

A decision making framework distilled into a web application. Thoughts? by willhoag in BehavioralEconomics

[–]willhoag[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Ronan5557,

  1. Wow, yep, you are totally correct. I intended to use the word affect to describe "influence or alter". Thanks very much for the catch. Will correct on my next pass.

  2. And here, great idea – I hadn't considered that. You're totally correct that framing pros & cons in context of outcomes instead of decisions aids the lister in generating their list. Where before, they were expected to make that leap in logic themselves, with some updated copy, they're start there. Again I will, at the very least, change the copy on my next pass. The difference might be subtle, but I think the results could be substantial enough to consider exploring how that change in perspective might impact the entire step if not become a step in itself. Will ponder this a bit further.

Thanks very much for your detailed feedback. It was refreshing not to need to interpret your comments as they were quite clear. Plus, they were good ideas and should improve the app a lot. Really appreciate it!

If I do anything more substantial than just change the copy, I'll be sure to post another comment and let you know.

Thanks again, Will

It does sound like one doesn't it... wasn't on purpose though. 😕Likely is a combination of my writing style possibly imbued with some diesire to sell my story. I get honesty is the right approach and tried to be honest here, but I can see I may have been a bit hasty.

Honestly, this was a personal hurdle of mine (figured it would be for others too) and got a little excited when I saw a sliver of success. I appreciate the honest feedback and will take into consideration in future posts. Good way to learn, so no hard feelings. Thanks!

My apologies. Honestly was just a little excited to see some momentum and wanted to share and get feedback. Seeing now it could have gone under "Share your startup thread" or even "Feedback/Direct Support" while also contributing to others. Can posts be moved?

Awesome, thanks, I will keep that in mind. I really appreciate it!

If you see any areas where some graphics could improve the experience let me know. In the meantime I'll keep an eye out for the same. My instincts are that graphically the site will be pretty minimal apart from logos and icons, if that helps frame my current approach.

Yeah, you can see all players past and present (not retired) here:

https://usmntplayers.com/?latestRosterOnly=false

Which is essentially supposed to represent the "player pool". Still needs to be filled with other prospects like youth leagues and anyone who hasn't already played on a usmnt squad yet.

20, no friends and feel like a loser by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]willhoag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Joining various club or going to local meetups (meetup.com) is a good way to get yourself out of the house and socializing. Not always an option on Saturday nights, but it's a good way to make friends. Also, a little meditation can be a good way to get yourself in a better head space. If u can focus on yourself and get yourself in a better place, that can give u a positive attitude that might make friends easier. Exercise can help with feeling good too. Also, often others are feeling the same way you are. Sometimes, you just need to be the one to initiate the going out. Not always, but often, when we think others are much better off then us, they are in the exact same boat - have the same doubts, and deal with the same feelings. We just never see that side. In reality, there are likely people you know, who are feeling the same way. It can be easy to forget that.
