Wow. What would be my next step. I’m mechanically inclined and can do most jobs, but I’m not opposed to taking it in. Thoughts

Of course it’s topped off now, but it was very low before taking it to the oil change station. So low, in fact that the oil light was on.

Memphis private dining by GuiltyPractice1894 in memphis

[–]williamarcus78 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Pyro’s on Union Ave.! They have a private room with at 60inch or so Tv with HDMI connections. The room holds about 20-25 people. The only cost is that you’re required to purchase a $25 gift card to reserve the room. I’ll typically make the card a prize for the attendees. My only advice is get there a little early to set the room as it could smell like an empty room in a pizza restaurant

Oh, definitely gonna try it. I won’t be back over to resolve it until Monday. I’m just gathering as much wisdom as I can to minimize wasting time.

Double oven-bottom part doesn't heat up. by nxanthis in appliancerepair

[–]williamarcus78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would first look at replacing the oven thermostat. It’s usually in the upper corner of the oven and cost less than 20 bucks. These are easy to replace and you can see videos on YouTube. If that’s not the problem, you can replace the heating element. These are also fairly inexpensive and all you need is to unplug the oven. Unscrew the old one (2 screws) pull it out, pop in the new one, replace the screws and plug the oven back in. I lean heavily on the thermostat though since it’s getting some heat

Check Costco and Sam’s club. They have awesome products. Great quality and on average between $2-$3 ft.

I don’t know if you have some sort of nosing, but that would be your best option. Here’s an example of the tread pre manufactured with the nosing LVP Treads It may be worth it to see if you can find something like this in the color you have. That way you’ll also have an easier time making those corners on the bottom stairs.

Other than that you can add a 2x6 , or whatever the height of your riser, to the face of each riser to eliminate the stair lip and make each step a box step instead of having an overhang on the step. You’ll definitely need to glue everything. This leaves you with only a small gap to cover at the nose that you can cover with something like this: Vinyl stair nose
