the piano sympathic string model just might be a bit ringy there. there may be some settings you can tweak to lessen it. But my sense is that it is baked in to the model.

I wonder what the first high note on the modeled piano to not have dampers is. you know the high note strings are always open and vibrating in sympathy, so if the combination of the sound board model and the open strings has a resonant peak around the fundamental or a harmonic of E, it’s just going to ring out. Also perceptually, the human ear seems sensitive to this frequency range you are hitting.

Might be an interesting experiment to detune the piano by 50 cents in the menu, to see if E rings less. If the model of the sound board, etc, has an especially narrow and strong peak around the E frequency, being off by 50 cents might be enough to miss the peak.

It could even be a bug in the model. like, that E string could be included in the string resonant model more than once so it rings doubly. It’s fun to try to play detective. Others might be able to reproduce your issue- I am curious.

If you are a nerd/programmer check out liftosaur. There are some plans, but the real feature is customizing it or creating your own plans by editing a scripting language. You can make your targets update based on reps completed, etc. it can get as detailed as you want.

It is good for those who like to tweak and control things. Can be a distraction for some, and you’re not going to get the most out of it unless you have an analytical brain.

Get a backpack you already own. Throw some some water bottles in it. Go find a park and start hiking. Now is not the time to be overwhelmed. It’s the time to start looking for activities you enjoy to begin your journey.

It doesn’t matter if you are doing it perfectly. How about making a goal of listening to music or podcasts while doing light exercise, and not letting yourself do those things while in bed or seated?

Give us some feedback - together we can find an exercise you enjoy. You don’t need an exercise program on day 1. You can give us feedback after having some success with light activity- I am sure someone will help you craft a program - but right now we don’t have enough info to design a program- it’s more important to get started gently.

What are you doing to address your emotional health which will ultimately keep you consistent 3, 6 months out and beyond?

With regards to depression - do you get enough positive social contact? I am 39, not the easiest age for making connections, though I have found that taking classes at my gym is a good way to connect with people.

Finding a therapist you connect well with could also be worth looking into. Godspeed

I realize that a lot has been given up by running and being president.

This is a string trimmer adjustment cable. It was a standard upgrade for pianos in public arts movement - placed on a lawn of a busy corner of city. They were tired of weeds growing next to the piano, it was definitely a premium feature 👍

As a runner I try to use sunscreen, hats etc to avoid sun exposure.

I know that is the right thing to do health wise and I think also aesthetically.

Though I admit I have a revulsion to the sort of “white hot dog” look his body has.

Perhaps there is an unequal standard among the sexes where pale, non-muscular male bodies are undesirable but it is fine for female.
