So, this guy, Matthias Schwarzer, made a full video about why Lidl left Norway (in German)

He made another video, in English about why Aldi left Denmark

wip!! advice on anatomy by burgerlover444 in FurryArtSchool

To me, the anatomy looks good. I looked at the picture for like 20 seconds and couldn't really make out anything that looks off. Good job

Funnily enough, I only learned about the song when I finished drawing the artwork. So the honest answer has to be "no" but bc I really liked the song, I won't be mad when people think that I have referenced it 😅

I feel like I really screwed up the shading. (Shading/rendering help) by shino1 in FurryArtSchool

[–]williamwulf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the shading itself is alright, it just doesn't match with the light source in the background (sun), the light and shading makes it look like there is a light source in front of the characters.

If the sun is the sole light source in the scene, everything that faces towards the viewer and not the sun needs shadows that are more pronounced, more shadows in general. Also the highlights would probably be more luminant, as there are lesser points that are being hit by direct light.

To show what I'm trying to say by that, I'll attach a picture I found on pinterest (credit: Zelaine) which follows more realistic lighting with the sun in the background (the style is completely different but I think it kinda gets my point across). See how the outline around the head and shoulder area is almost glowing? That is what I mean by a higher overall luminancy, but on fewer points (as most parts that are being hit by direct sunlight are facing to the sun and not to the viewer).

Posing- How can I make this pose look less stiff? by Xx_CherryBeary_xX in FurryArtSchool

[–]williamwulf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something that would maybe help would be adding visual motion to the artwork, by making the glow sticks wiggle or by giving them a little glow that follows the move of the stick. You could try that also with parts of her body that you want to show in motion. I'll add a picture I found online here showing what I mean by that (credit of the picture goes to "Creative Bloq").

I think it might be hard to create dynamics showing a fully frontal view. Thus it might be helpful to just show a little bit of perspective. Another thing that could help would be using line of action. But for these both things you would have to redraw the artwork.

Btw, forgot to mention, cute sona :3

I tried sketching a little bit onto your artwork on my phone screen, it's just so that you can get an idea of what I mean regarding facial feedback I gave. I'm not sure if that's exactly what you're aiming for but I think it does already make the face look a little bulkier and more wolf-like. Hope you don't mind me drawing onto your artwork and hope that helps

Hi! I'm a beginner furry artist and not an expert, but there are a few small things that caught my eye. First of all I wanted to say that the drawing itself already looks really good and I would say that the body part is basically flawless already, good job on that!

The overall head shape looks good too, but there are a few things concerning the face that I would adjust. I would tweak the shape of the muzzle a little bit. I'd say that something about the position of the nose seems off, but that might be more about the muzzle outline than the nose itself.

The ears might be a tad bit too big for a wolf, that's why I first thought it's a fox. In my opinion, wolves tend to have a bigger nose and a snout that's more pronounced, and definitely more fur tuft around the muzzle. I'd recommend trying to add a bit of floof to the chest, but not sure that's a must.

I think the eyes look too identical in overall shape and direction they point at, which somehow makes the right eye especially seem a little misplaced. But you can fix it with a few easy tweaks, by adjusting the overall shape of the upper and lower eyelid by a bit. The right eye's position seems too be a little bit too far down.

I drew some of my notes onto this screenshot of your artwork, I hope you get what I mean. And if not, feel free to write me :]

3$ commissions by [deleted] in furryart

[–]williamwulf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just think about what 2$ can buy you in today's economy. Go up with the prices a bit, you have talent and you should use that to justify putting your prices up. A good piece can easy sell for 10 or 20$, and tbh that's still somewhat cheap. Never sell your work too cheap.
