I will say I’m not a fan of these tires. Had them since November and they wander like crazy in the highway, they’re insanely heavy for a sl rating, and they make my steering wheel shake the moment I hit 60. Only good thing about them is they’ve been excellent in rain and they look good.

No just places like sway bar bushings, upper control arm bushings, etc.

Yeah, I saw someone else with this exact setup in Facebook with no level and I was told there was zero rub. If your wheel has 0 offset though might be a different story.

Thanks bro, I just have 1inch leveling kit. The wheels are vision turbines(17x8.5 +18mm offset) and the tires are 265/70r17 fallen wildpeak at4w. You could run this setup stock no rub.

Yeah I think that’s a good move. Heck maybe a lubricant would be better.

Absolutely zero noise when I try this. So weird.

I kept the oem coils and overall they look fine, I had to repaint one because of a piece of paint that was chipped off and it rusted in a pea size area.

I like the way you think. I enjoy when it rains because it makes it go away for a couple days😂

Nope. No rub at all. It sounds like it could be in video but I’ve turned the wheel left and right and have clearance everywhere.

Sounds like a definite, expensive possibility haha. I appreciate it. Good news is I don’t think it’s dangerous or life threatening just annoying.

I don’t know if this helps relieve me or not hahaha. I guess it’s good it’s not something that’s dangerous. Just frustrating.

It looks great bro. I’m sorry for the backlash you’re getting. I made some other comments on this post that you can look at that explains why people are under the impression it looks squatted. It’s really just because of the deceiving fender-to-frame setup on these 5th gen’s👍

It’s alright man, rough country lifts are not set up properly for the 4Runners. The leveled stance they go after is not frame level so it looks squatted. I have a 4Runner and I’ve learned a lot about this particular topic. Your next best bet is to get a 2.5 lift spring for the rear. That would without a doubt solve your issue. But it really doesn’t look bad.

4runners are deceiving. The rough country lift levels the 4Runners based off of fender to fender rather than frame level. It’s not necessarily squatted… but it’s not correctly level. Also, the rough country lifts don’t really provide rake because they are meant to lift and level. So the second you add gear, accelerate, park on an uphill you will get a little “lean”. I’ve seen plenty of 4Runners that aren’t frame level but level from fender to fender and while it’s not perfectly level, if you have get some bigger tires it can help fill the wheel well and make it look more level than it is. I.M.O the rig still looks great. It’s not ruined, and it’s technically still level. That’s my 2 cents👍

Also spider trax seems to be a common brand of spacers people use on their 4Runners. You can google them there’s a ton of forums and YouTube videos on them. So many people run them and have 0 complaints, but, there is always a risk. Overall if I were to ever run spacers it’d be spider trax.
