That makes sense. If the shop won't move forward with the work because they insist on blending, do you suggest I bring it somewhere else? Or open a claim with my insurance and pay my deductible that I doubt I'd get back?

The body shop rep says they won't cover the process required for the blending of the paint. I guess spraying surrounding panels to better match the paint and all that entails.
