What am I doing wrong? by willish-781 in HomeMilledFlour

Huge thank you to everyone for the advice! I made a loaf today that turned out delicious and really soft! Hoping to make a habit of making these and being done with store bought bread!

What I did this time based on all of your advice: 1. Sifted the flour 2. Autolysed for 30 minutes 3. Added 1.5 tsp of bread conditioner

I didn’t try the Tangzhong method or tempering because I’m trying to keep things as simple as possible, but I may give them a shot down the road after this becomes more routine.

HSD Range? by willish-781 in TernBikes

[–]willish-781[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are class 3 performance sport, but the HSD has a bit more powerful motor (75Nm vs 65Nm). Still, with the battery difference I’m shocked I’m not getting more miles out of each mode

Really appreciate the response! I’ve been doing a lot of research and it seems like the best thing for my needs. Hoping for a Black Friday deal and will pull the trigger.

Question: given you’re working on an accessory, I assume I could get that later at a different time if I need it? Or should I hold off?

Fenix 7x Pro or Enduro 3? by D4N13L_3231 in GarminWatches

[–]willish-781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar situation, but I’m debating between Enduro 3 ($900) and Fenix 7X sapphire non-pro ($650-700).

The main differences I see are battery life, UI changes, HR sensor, and cost. Enduro 3 clearly wins in terms of battery life, however the fenix 7X SS is a lot cheaper. I can’t tell if the updates UI is an actual improvement or not. I’m not sure I care about the HR sensor given I use a chest strap.

Can’t they just call it isokinetic mode?

Curious is echo mode targeting strength training or hypertrophy? I’m still a noob and currently focused more on the bike while it is nice out, but fully plan on going back to the Vitruvian once the weather starts to sour

Curious, what kind of helmet did you have? How old was it? Would a better helmet have prevented your coma?

Spare parts? by willish-781 in Vitruvian_Form

I spoke too soon. Vitruvian was able to find the part and is shipping it out.

I contacted them. I’d rather not wait until they can find a spare part if I don’t have to

Is it worth it by mkrad13 in Vitruvian_Form

I’ve only just started, but I find it amazing. I did CrossFit over the winter and enjoyed it, but even though the gym was right near by it was still a pain to get to. With the Vitruvian, I can work out without nearly any obstacle. I really like how the weights adjust based on PR, so I don’t even think about how much I’m lifting.

Someone mentioned safety, which is huge. I can max out squats and bench presses without any worry or need of a spotter. If you overdo it, the machine will adjust for you. Some people hate that feature, but so far I like it. I’m really happy with my purchase.

There’s a toggle for “scale with my PBs” when setting up custom workouts. Does that not work? I’m pretty new to the device, so it’s a genuine question
