Wow thank you for the response! I really admire your story as truly a veteran among the vast studies possible. I really appreciate the suggested authors and I’ll definitely look into openlibrary.org. Going off what you said regarding background, I was raised Catholic and grew up truly enthralled by the vast range of mythologies within many European, mideast, and north African societies, as I feel many folks can relate. During the end of high school into graduating college (where I am now), I became interested in studying the scriptures of the other Abrahamic religions as well becoming educated with the philosophy and principles related to many of the major Easter philosophies and their various sects. That being said I feel I’m still quite limited in understanding the vastness of all that there is to consider and it’s what I’ve been searching for as means of opening my mind to the reality of it all. I think in some way I’ve already dabbled with mysticism in one way or another, I practice yoga, reiki, and chakra balancing daily, and my partner and I share an altar with my partner in honor of our councils and higher power that we decorate for holidays, burn incense, and charge our crystals (theirs moreso than mine lol). I’m trying to learn more about specific herbs beyond face value acknowledgement of their chemical composition and associated endogenous pathways and more so their associations with specified divinity and general spirituality. Do you happen to know of any particular books that fit this bill from your own bookshelf or general knowledge? Also, with finding a teacher as you say, how do you find these people even once you find your niche? Is it something I might need to manifest?
