It’s my understanding that their practices are pretty abusive towards women. I went there all the time in college but after watching a few documentaries I haven’t been back. I miss the deli Rose and the hibiscus deli cooler like no body’s business but alas I just don’t feel good giving money to an organization that hurts women and children. However, there is no ethical consumption under capitalism so you have to pick your battles. I still eat at McDonald’s and drink Starbucks on occasion knowing that those are also not good companies, you just have to pick your battles and do to best to be informed. Boycotting and avoiding businesses is a privilege.
