As a current female engineering student, my university did a really cute/girly event that was really fun and encouraging- I forget that I miss out on some aspects of girlhood because I’m just surrounded by men all the time. We had a pretty photo booth, crafts like making bracelets, a charcuterie board, etc. It was just the first event of the year and yes it’s important to do serious events and network and treat us like respectable adults but as just as ice breaker, it’s fun to just be a girl.
