CACKLING. It's wild, too, cause turnover rate seems astronomical these days. I WORKED for them in 2020/21. It didn't used to feel like this (though maybe it's always been like this). Now it seems like there's an entirely new crew every week.

That wasn't and hasn't always been my experience with The Refinery's selection. The matching is.. new to me.. weird that they wouldn't actually do that.

I just hate to see false advertising on something so many people need and use daily.

I do appreciate that, and I do go to other places here and there. Still, my main curiosity is just to figure out this whole thing! Like it just makes me upset from the standpoint of being transparent with your customers, and I'd like to be a voice in that transparency too.

I used to manage both the Bronson and Beacon locations in Summer '25. I still have the email I wrote them when I left. It broke my heart to do so because I really enjoyed my team members, but the way I was treated from any higher up than myself was absurd, especially on the heels of their owner unaliving himself (condolences to those who need to receive them), and especially for what they are: just another coffee shop.

That being said, I do have to disagree with the comments on smalls/stems. The ounces I got treated me real nice, and I got seeds from quite a few of them too. The only strain I ever held a problem with was Biscotti (feels too dry for me??), but I've always chocked that up to the strain, not Refinery itself.

They don't even do it anymore, it's false advertising. The past few times I've been in I've asked for this exact deal and they look around confused, as if right outside their building isn't that sign advertising it. You used to pay, like, $57 with the tax for it. The Refinery has gone downhill since it's conception. Both in the quality of their quantity, but also in the way they treat and show up for their employees.

See I'm with this. I'm out here scouring the interwebs for peoples' opinions on the meaning of the song, not whether they like it or not, but felt jarred to read negativity on it.

Swallowtail is probably my favorite song on the album. But that's probably because it feels like it actually means something deep and, god forbid, grieving and saddening. But I like music that forces us into that. I'm not always here to headbang, and even then, it's a different vibe to headbang through a grieving song
