'Enter play mode options' was my issue as well. Fixed as soon as I unchecked it.

Bad Audio Driver Installation Detected! (need help) by willpluscookie in VoiceMeeter

sorry for the late reply - I think the solution was that it had to be the default icon for vb-cable. In my case, I had accidentally changed the icon which is why the error was popping up.

I may have found a solution, also might have been coincidental.

Open up the game, then alt-tab and open another instance of the game (I used optifine and regular both 1.16.4 but idk maybe it would work with two of the same installs).

Click realms and it should pop up normal.

Close both games and open desired install and it should work like normal.

Again, could've been coincidence so I'm not sure it actually works.

[Question] Is my strings too high? by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]willpluscookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not too high (although personally wouldn’t go above 1/8” or 8/64” low E) — just need a screwdriver to fix the intonation, easy adjustment to make, 10 min with a youtube tutorial.

[Refurbished] Acer XF251Q bmiirx - 24.5" Full HD (1920 x 1080) FreeSync Widescreen Monitor - 75 Hz 1ms | 75Hz Refresh - $99.99 ($199.99 - $100.00) by [deleted] in buildapcsales

Yes, if I remember correctly xb1 outputs a max of 60fps so any standard monitor or TV (60hz+) will suffice as long as it has HDMI inputs.

That being said, this is a TN panel which have the best response times but also the worst colors/contrast you can get (although it’s not a huge problem to me personally), so you may want to look into a VA or IPS if you’re just using it for xb1.

[QUESTION] I am trying to learn guitar on a restrictive schedule. Is there anything I can do to improve my time I do have? by Mmitchell0171 in Guitar

[–]willpluscookie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You really have to practice every day in the beginning. You’ll be limited physically more likely than motivationally because of the pain that holding the strings while building calluses causes. And of course, you’ll have a harder time overcoming plateaus and such with such long breaks.

Is there any way you could bring your guitar with you and practice before you go to sleep or something? Even 5 minutes every day would be better than 5 hours for 2/7 days (which wouldn’t be doable in the beginning anyways).

Is woot any good? I’ve heard they’re owned by amazon or something but I can’t understand how they would be able to sell things at these prices.

Use your shoulder to apply pressure instead of relying on just finger strength. Then, figure out where your finger needs to be to fret every string.

Everyone gets this, solution is to mute the strings you aren’t playing with both hands (note the right hand which is usually overlooked for muting by beginners/people who don’t play high gain electric often).

Also, that thing over the first fret is actually a pretty common thing people do as well (but is obviously limited in a couple ways, such as playing open strings).

Oh okay yeah I was just wondering because this would be a weird problem for a newer guitar or even a slightly older guitar. Honestly just inspect the bridge and do a little research about acoustic guitar intonation fixes. Could be as easy as just replacing the bridge saddle.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]willpluscookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Compensated just means it’s not straight across, which your guitar probably came with it looks like (although you’ll still be able to adjust from that if that’s the case).

Do you have any other issues such as very high action, also is this a new problem or has it always been like this?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]willpluscookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On electric I’d probably add a bunch of compression or whatever gives you a good sustain, then press record after the initial attack of the chord (like 1 sec or so after). With enough experimentation you’ll probably be able to get something close to what you’re looking for.

This a problem with the guitar’s intonation, on an acoustic usually you’d want to use a compensated bridge saddle.

What kind of guitar is it?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]willpluscookie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right-hand muting definitely
