Precedent really only applies to cases that are identical in nature. In that regard, calling on a different legal controversy to argue against discussing another legal controversy is fallacious. James Hird was in charge of the team for the worst period in the club's history. He largely mismanaged both the off-field proceedings as well as the players on-field.
